Asian Hope Fundraiser – Winners of Silent Auction

May 28, 2010

A few months back I was asked to donate a package for a silent auction to help raise money for Asian Hope (http://www.asianhope.org), an amazing organization that helps educates almost 500 students a year in 3 schools from preschool through high school in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  The vision of Asian Hope is to “rekindle hope in Cambodia in the love of Christ” by doing so through quality education and experiences to equip each student to become leaders in Cambodia.  They have two children’s homes that have helped raise over 30 orphans and street kids, and have a hospitality house in Phnom Penh to further train students through internships, to provide a quality, comfortable living environment for their guests, and as a source of revenue for the organization.

Well, I had the immense pleasure of meeting Jordan Fischer, VP of U.S. Operations who oversees fundraising, development and Asian Hope’s Higher Education and Learning Program (HELP).  Jordan and his family won the silent auction for my family session package; so, Jordan, his wife Katie (who has been involved with Asian Hope for 10 yrs now), and their two little ones Elijah and Gabe met me downtown for a fun urban family photo shoot.

The kids were awed by all the construction happening and we all enjoyed an absolutely gorgeous day.

Thank you Jordan and Katie!  Your program is amazing and you literally help make this world a better place in all that you do!
